“No problem at all. I should be the one to thank you for making the purchase.” Ludwig returns a polite - if slightly restrained - smile.
“This may be under my name, but my uncle’s the one signing the papers.”
But seriously, this property is surprisingly inexpensive given its land size, even if it does have its downsides.
“Why do you insist on living here, Mr Jones?” Ludwig asks.
“Same reason why you refuse to get assigned to another estate, Lud.”
“I just thought that maybe I’ll get to see him again some day.”
“Maybe you will."
We are now standing in front of the main entrance.
“Shall we?”
[[Open the Door]]You press down on the door handle. The door creaks open.

[[BACK->Start]]“Suicide is a //sin//!”
A twelve-year-old Arthur sat with his hands on his lap.
“Oh, Artie… Oh God, why would you…” his mother let go of the knife and pulled him into a brittle hug, tears falling onto Arthur’s shoulder.
Arthur stared into a corner.
Mr Ghost grinned at him, as if beckoning him to play with him.

When did he discover that he was not truly alone?
“You can see me!”
“I think so, sir.”
Mr Ghost lowered his head for a moment, then flashed him a //large, large grin//.
Fear engulfed Arthur, as Mr Ghost closed in on him and whispered:
“Come and play with me… It hurts to be alone…”
Alone.
Mr Ghost was laughing maliciously beside his ear.

“But I might’ve had a family, or friends! I want to know who they are, even if I can’t regain my memories. Who says we can’t be happier //with// our memories?”
Well, this is quite the heated discussion. Nonetheless, //your// objective is to find out the truth, no matter what it takes.

Perhaps Lovino does have a nicer side to him, given that he didn’t make Antonio sleep on the sofa.

Unfortunately, taking place in rural America means that it slipped under the media’s radar. This article from two years ago is the most detailed you could find.
You take a while to put your treasures into the right places. Now you need to deal with the greater challenge: the other suitcase.
Well, you are certainly not going to take out your undies in the living room, for one.
Now, the house is yours to explore. Although you would much prefer if you could unload your luggage somewhere...

You send Francis off at the airport with a heavy heart.
Lovino is not exactly friendly to outsiders. At the very least, it sounds possible for him to kill a hostile intruder.
But Feliciano...
In the next few weeks, you repeatedly try to speak to Lovino and Arthur about this. They deny it over and over again and tell you to stop mentioning it.
Feliciano refuses to speak to you as you did not allow Ludwig to visit the house. Although he caves in eventually, his answers are anything but satisfactory.

He ran into the child by accident. Though he snuck out in time.

“The cause of death is suicide. Apart from that, I cannot supply you with more information. We don’t retain memories of our past living self.”
“But as far as I can tell, all the ghosts ‘wake up’ with their bodies preserved at their moment of death. You should at least know //how// you killed yourself…”
“I don’t want to talk about it.” He frowns.
The two of you chat for a while more.
By the time you finish your conversation, it is time to [[end the day->Sleep5]].“Why are you wearing a suit?”
“I like to be dressed proper,” he huffs.
Even at the moment of his death? It is almost as if he knew he would turn into a ghost.
“Out of curiosity, why did you have such a large reaction when you met the others? You didn’t //pass out// upon knowing what I am.”
“You looked like a normal person, at least. The others, their fatal wounds are really scary. Especially Feliciano and Gilbert’s…”

By the time you finish your conversation, it is time to [[end the day->Sleep5]].“Does Ludwig know of your presence?”
Feliciano shakes his head.
“Have you thought of revealing yourself to him?”
“Actually, brother says we shouldn’t talk to humans at all. We’ll drive them mad, he says. But if I can, I would! He’s a really nice person even if he looks all tall and scaaaary.”
It seems like any talk of Ludwig will bring a smile to his face.

By the time you finish your conversation, it is time to [[end the day->Sleep4]].“Do you remember how you died?”
“No. None of us do. When I ‘woke up’ in this house, surrounded by flames, I only knew that my name is Feliciano, and that my brother is Lovino,” he says.
“Would you want to find out?”
“I don’t think I died a peaceful death.” The young Italian smiles wistfully, a hand over the fatal wounds on his chest.
“I want to know what happened, but brother says we shouldn’t. If I do, I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. For now, I’m just grateful to be with everyone here.”
